Double Side Light Doors

Among the Most Difficult to Secure

Doors with two side lights are among the most difficult to secure since there is no stud on either side of the door.

How We Did It

In securing these doors we knew that we had to accomplish three things. First, secure the lock area of the jamb and door, as we had with the original Door Jamb Armor. Since there was no stud to secure the Jamb Shield, we have driven long screws back into the jamb. Second, we had to secure the top and bottom of the jamb, because most side light doors are secured with small nails (the entire door may fall into your house if it were kicked). Third, we had to secure the hinges.

The Result

The result is what we believe to be the the most effective way to secure a double side light door.
