Hinge Shield
Hinge Shields feature Wrapping Technology and are designed to easily slide around the top and bottom hinges of your door
While it is difficult to see in pictures, the Hinge Shields are actually small sleeves, with a space cut out for the hinge. These pieces slide onto the jamb around the hinge to reinforce the jamb and anchor your hinge into something solid
You do not need to remove your door to install these or any of the pieces in the Door Jamb Armor system
Hinge Shields reinforce the jamb on the hinge side of the door and helps prevent the hinges from splitting the jamb when the door is kicked
Smart thieves know that people never reinforce the hinge side of their doors
Each Door Jamb Armor set comes standard with two Hinge Shields, which should be installed on the top and bottom hinges
Hinge Shields are secured to stud using five (5) 3-inch screws (included)
